The use of biometrics has been in practice since hundreds of years, but its actual use took on a new light after the introduction of email in 1993. Nowadays, we know about many ways by which an identity can be established through contact. These ways include fingerprinting, voice, face, eye, or DNA; however, all these ways have their own drawbacks as well. Today, biometrics are used to establish identity from an object by reducing the burden of manual records and costs associated with them.

Iris Biometics - Iris Biometics is basically the process of identifying the eyes. Iris Biometics is a form of identification in which a person's eyes are imaged using infrared light to capture the iris.

Voice Biometics - Voice Biometics is also known as Voice Recognition. It involves sound recognition and can be either generated by a human or by an artificial intelligence software.

Photo identification - Photo identification is the process of identifying the person based on physical characteristics such as a face, image, etc. Some of the common types of photo identification include, digital and dye sublimation printing.

Fingerprinting - It is a common form of identification. The process of fingerprinting involves taking a fingerprint or a photocopy of a fingerprint. This is used to authenticate a document.

Fingerprint collection - Fingerprinting is done by picking up the fingers with the help of a special material known as aglet. This is done by stretching the fingers and forcing the tip of the finger inside the hole in the angle. The finger is then held at a certain angle, in such a way that the fingerprint is aligned with the surface.
